The successful applicant for this role will be a part of +61, but an employee of TBWA Sydney. 

A Business Director is passionate about customer marketing and has a love of creativity and data in equal balance. 

The role will be working in a tight, dedicated team responsible for the large-scale customer marketing activity of one of Australia’s most prominent brands.   


The Business Director is responsible for: 

  • Leading the day-to-day management of all customer marketing activity with the support of a Business Manager 
  • Working closely with the strategists and dedicated creative resource as part of a full-service agency team. 
  • Ensuring the agency is meeting the client’s needs and working with all the key functions that go into creating strategic, creative and production agency outputs 
  • Having a good understanding of clients' business including audience, their brand and competitors 
  • Driving the strategy and providing an informed point of view in response to the brief, challenging and shaping the work, and building the relationship with the client 
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to solve key business issues with the Client Partner 
  • Leading day-to-day client relationships and nurturing the relationship, delivering high standards of client satisfaction, measured through feedback and surveys  
  • Project pricing, profitability and management of large scopes of work and budgets. Providing accurate monthly project and production forecasts and scope reconciliations with oversight from Client Partner 



  • 3-4 years’ experience in a similar agency role delivering on day-to-day client management 
  • Ability to work and manage multiple projects autonomously (and collaboratively) from brief to completion 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills 
  • Exceptional organisation and ability to think critically to troubleshoot in advance 
  • Strong experience managing financial processes 
  • Experience creating master timing plans, cost estimates and controlling production process’ financially to improve cost efficiencies and profitability 
  • Ability to deliver high standards of client satisfaction, measured through feedback 


  • Have a clear understanding of marketing communications and agency processes 
  • Deep understanding of client’s business and competitors 


  • Have a strong foundation in data-driven customer marketing, in particular integrated, digital and CRM campaigns.  
  • Take pride in creating best in class creative work no matter how large or small. 
  • Passionate about consumer behaviour and putting the customer first. 
  • Comfortable with and enjoy working with a range of data and understand how it can be applied and activated in communications.   
  • Can see the big picture but not be afraid of detail and complexity. 
  • Curious, proactive, and collaborative.
