Join our mobile Speech Pathology team, providing meaningful assessment and intervention to adults across residential aged care and community settings throughout Brisbane North.

Your caseload will span locations from Kelvin Grove to Caboolture, giving you the opportunity to work across a diverse range of aged care and community settings.

You'll support adults living with dementia, Parkinson’s disease, stroke, progressive neurological conditions and age-related changes, with opportunities to develop your skills across both communication and dysphagia.

What you'll be doing

As a mobile Speech Pathologist, you'll:

  • Assess and provide evidence-based intervention for swallowing and communication difficulties.
  • Support adults with complex and changing clinical needs.
  • Provide dysphagia and communication assessment and intervention across residential aged care and community settings.
  • Deliver telehealth assessment and intervention where appropriate.
  • Manage your own calendar, appointments and travel schedule.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, families, support coordinators, facility staff and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide education and recommendations to clients, families, support staff and colleagues.
  • Advocate for clients and help them maintain their communication, independence, dignity and quality of life.
  • Connect with our national Speech Pathology team to share knowledge and clinical expertise.

About you

To join our team, you'll need:

  • A recognised qualification in Speech Pathology.
  • Current membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • A current driver's licence and reliable vehicle, as this is a mobile role.
