Plena Healthcare is seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Pathologist, based on the Gold Coast to join our Queensland team of mobile clinicians. This part time/casual role (2 days per week) focuses on dysphagia and communication assessments and interventions for adults living in residential aged care.
Whether you are a Recent graduate or an experienced clinician, we offer an engaging, flexible, and supportive environment where your expertise will make a real impact on clients living with dementia, Parkinson’s disease, post-stroke complications, progressive neurological conditions, and age-related decline.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage your own calendar of appointments with the flexibility to choose work hours and locations
- Assess and diagnose swallowing and communication difficulties
- Deliver in-person and telehealth-based interventions
- Collaborate with your state-based Speech Pathology Team Leader and a close-knit national team
- Travel opportunities to support clients in regional locations (optional)
- Advocate for clients’ communication needs
- Provide consultation, education, and support to clients, families, and care teams
- Liaise with support coordinators and colleagues to ensure comprehensive care
What You’ll Need
- Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
- Membership with Speech Pathology Australia
- Valid driver’s licence and access to reliable transport
- Passion for working with older adults and individuals with complex needs
