Due to an internal promotion, our finance team is looking for an Accounts Officer to become a key player in our Springwood office, where flexible working options are readily available. We have also recently transitioned to a state of the art invoice scanning and workflow AP software, therefore no more processing invoices!

We are seeking someone who thrives on variety and is eager to take the next step in their career. There is potential for this role to transition to a Team Leader role to oversee the small Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team. The candidate will have a proven track record in a high volume, fast paced business, who wants to be part of the team.

Specific duties will include, but not limited to:

• Ensuring invoice workflow is operating smoothly and following up on unapproved invoices,
• Supplier reconciliations and creditor statements,
• Weekly, bi-monthly and monthly payments,
• Setup new suppliers and subcontractors,
• Focus on cost over run invoices,
• Liaising with creditors, construction supervisors and managers regarding account/invoice queries and problem solving,
• Assisting with general duties and playing an active role in process improvements.

The successful applicant has:

• Demonstrated success within a similar high volume accounts payable role,
• Excellent time management and prioritisation skills,
• Attention to detail and ability to resolve accounts payable related issues,
• A can do attitude,
• Self-motivated and the ability to meet deadlines with accuracy,
• Ability to work proficiently in a team,
• Experience in using a large ERP such as Dynamics AX, SAP or Oracle and invoice scanning systems.
