About the Role:

As the Health Safety and Environment Advisor at Plantation Homes, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our team members, contractors and suppliers across our new home building projects. Working closely with the National HSE Manager, you'll help develop and implement our HSE policies and procedures in compliance with the Federal Work Health and Safety Act, Regulations and related legislation.

What You'll Do:

• Create safe work environments for our team, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Support the delivery and implementation of the HSE management plan to ensure all areas of the business are empowered and enabled to work safely within compliance requirements.
• Help improve our safety culture through regular inspections, risk assessments and training.
• Work with our valued subcontractors and suppliers to improve the quality and compliance of their Safe Work Method Statements and other important safety documents.
• Report on and address site risks, hazards, and near misses.
• Respond to HSE incidents promptly, assisting in investigation (ICAM) and and implementing control measures to prevent future occurrences.
• Build your professional toolkit - we'll invest in your training!

Ideally you'll have:

• Certificate IV OHS / WHS
• Demonstrated experience working in a HSE role
• Experience in the residential construction industry (desirable but not essential).
• Working knowledge of WHS legislation.
• Ability to understand and apply policies and procedures that meet legislative requirements regarding Health, Safety, and Environment.
• Strong influencing skills and ability to build trust with onsite teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, predominantly Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
