About Henley

At Henley, we have delivered more than 60,000 homes across Australia through our Henley Homes, Plantation Homes and Edgewater Homes brands. We are proud to be part of the global Sumitomo Forestry Group and to play a meaningful role in shaping communities where people live and grow.

As our business continues to evolve, we are seeking an experienced People and Culture Business Partner to join our national P&C team following an internal promotion.

This is a hands on, influential role suited to a strong HR generalist who enjoys end to end business partnering and leading the delivery of people initiatives that make a tangible difference.

The role

This role has a strong project and delivery focus, with an immediate priority on people technology. You will work closely with leaders across the business, balancing operational HR support with strategic initiatives.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Playing a critical role in major people technology projects, including HRIS implementation across Tier 1 or Tier 2 systems
  • Partnering with leaders to deliver the people strategy across the full employee lifecycle
  • Acting as a trusted advisor, providing pragmatic, commercially sound HR advice
  • Identifying risks, issues and opportunities early and driving solutions through to completion
  • Maintaining strong governance, structure and cadence while keeping sight of the broader strategic context
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of P&C processes, systems and ways of working in collaboration with the national team

About you

You are a calm, credible HR professional who operates above the line and brings confidence without ego. You are comfortable working independently, enjoy taking ownership, and know how to influence without authority.

You will bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR or a related discipline
  • At least four years’ experience in a generalist HR or People and Culture role
  • Strong working knowledge of Fair Work legislation and modern awards
  • Demonstrated experience in business partnering within a complex or multi site environment
  • Exposure to people technology implementation or optimisation projects
  • Experience with Tier 1 HRIS platforms such as UKG or Workday is highly regarded
  • Sound judgement, discretion and the ability to navigate complexity with composure
  • A solutions focused mindset with strong follow through and accountability
  • A collaborative, positive approach that contributes to a high performing team culture

Why join Henley?

You will be part of a commercially minded, supportive People and Culture team that values trust, ownership and delivery. We work hard, support each other and genuinely enjoy what we do.

Our benefits include:

  • Exclusive discounts when buying or building a Henley, Plantation or Edgewater home
  • Retail discounts across more than 400 suppliers
  • Recognition through our KUDOS rewards programme
  • Henley Day, an additional day of paid leave
  • Employee referral incentives
  • Annual skin and health checks and an expanding wellbeing programme
  • Opportunities to contribute to our philanthropic initiatives

Join us

At Henley, everyone is welcome. We celebrate diversity and believe our differences make us stronger. As part of the Sumitomo Forestry Group, we are committed to fairness, integrity and creating environments where people can do their best work.
