The Opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Building Surveyor Unlimited to help drive, mentor and coach our Tasmanian Team

This role will see you: 

  • Drive a positive culture across the our teams embracing the pitt&sherry values of integrity, courage, creativity, relationships, accountability and sustainability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business
  • Undertake building inspections and provide effective building control services with a focus on improved building control, safety and general amenity in order to a achieve a level that suits the expectations of the customer and broader community
  • Carry out examination of application for building permits with respect to the construction of new buildings, alterations, repairs and change of occupancy in existing buildings.
  • Manage the review and certification of complex large-scale projects.
  • Coordinate the assessment, client liaison, inspections and issue of relevant statutory documentation, as well as project resourcing, deadlines and financial performance.
  • Devise and deliver new approaches in order to solve more complex surveying problems

What you bring: 

  • AIBS accreditation as a Building Surveyor Unlimited
  • 10yrs+ experience in Building Surveying
  • AQF8 qualifications in Building Surveying
  • Demonstrated experience leading and coaching a team
  • Strong writing skills and ability to communicate with people at all levels.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Computer literate. 
  • Current Driver’s license.
