The Opportunity:
At pitt&sherry, we’re seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Culvert Inspector and Risk Assessor (TfNSW Culvert Inspection and Risk Assessment qualified) to join our growing team and contribute to a strong pipeline of exciting infrastructure projects across Australia. Please note we have 1 x 12 month contract opportunity and 1 x permanent opportunity.
In this role your work will include project planning and management, contractor coordination, site inspections (including day/night shifts and travel), and reporting. You will be responsible for:
- Conducting thorough inspections of drainage pits and culverts to assess their condition and identify any potential risks.
- Performing risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies to address identified issues
- Documenting inspection findings and preparing reports
- Collaborating with a diverse range of clients including councils, contractors, and state road authorities to prioritise and plan maintenance and repair activities
- Ensuring compliance with local regulations and safety standards
- Contract or Permanent opportunities available
What You Bring:
- TfNSW Culvert Inspection and Risk Assessment qualification - Essential
- Qualifications in civil/structural engineering, engineering technology, or a relevant trade background
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in using inspection tools and software
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Bonus Skills (Desirable but not essential):
- Level 1, 2, and 3 condition assessment experience
- ARRB Level 1/2 Inspection Accreditation or similar
- White Card, EWP ticket, RIW certification, First Aid, Confined Space, Working at Heights
- Proven experience in infrastructure inspections and risk assessments.
