As a critical contributor to our technical excellence, you'll translate complex challenges into actionable strategies while building trusted client relationships and strengthening our organisational capability.

You will play a pivotal role in:

  • Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, clearly articulating technical findings and practical solutions
  • Collaborating with mining engineers, structural specialists, and project managers to deliver integrated outcomes
  • Contributing to business development by framing geotechnical value propositions in proposals and client discussions
  • Mentoring junior engineers and promoting knowledge sharing within the team
  • Delivering geotechnical inputs on time, within scope, and aligned with project safety and performance targets

What You Bring:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience with at least 2 years of on-site experience
  • Sound technical knowledge in geotechnical engineering, including scoping, interpreting, organising, executing, and coordinating projects
  • Hold chartered CPEng status or be able to obtain in the next 12 months
  • Experience in a consulting business environment
  • Experience in hard rock mining environments (preferred)
  • Postgraduate qualification in Rock Mechanics (preferred but not essential)
  • Experience acting as a resource for less experienced colleagues and leading small teams or projects with defined scope and risk
  • Demonstrated full technical responsibility across project phases
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of client value
  • Ability to solve complex problems and apply new perspectives to existing solutions
  • Experience contributing to bids and proposals for engineering projects
  • Curious and open to exploring new ideas and learning from failures
  • Growth-oriented mindset focused on continuous improvement
  • Courageous in voicing ideas and embracing feedback
  • Agile and adaptable, able to respond to change and refine processes
  • Proactive and collaborative, promoting teamwork and empowering others
