The Opportunity:
As a Principal Bridge Engineer you will thrive on all aspects of structural design with a focus on bridges. This role will see you:
- Responsible for the design, coordination and project management of bridge projects to meet the program, scope, quality and financial requirements while achieving positive design outcomes
- Work on various scales of bridge and other structural projects across the life cycle – concept, design & construction, management, assessment and end of life
- Engaging with government clients, contractors and project stakeholders to drive outstanding service delivery
- Provide effective leadership, direction, technical advice and championing a culture of delivering on quality for the Sydney Bridge team
- Role model our expected quality and OH&S behaviours both within project delivery and on the job.
What you bring:
- Tertiary qualification in Structural Engineering, 15 years’ experience, be a Registered Professional Engineer and have achieved or be close to achieving Chartered Status
- Analysis experience with bridge software (SpaceGASS, Midas Civil)
- Project Management skills and commercial acumen
- Demonstrated experience in bridge design and complex structures, precast segmental, Steel and large span structures to AS5100 and Transport NSW
- Experience in undertaking Level 2 and 3 Bridge Inspections and Structural Assessments
- Leadership skills to effectively mentor emerging engineers and engage with teams, sub-consultants, clients and stakeholders across multiple disciplines
- Demonstrated experience writing, pricing and reviewing bids, proposals and tenders
- Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills.
