The Opportunity:
- Build strong relationships with clients as well as environmental and water related disciplines to deliver projects;
- Assist with coastal process investigations (hydraulics, sediment transport and water quality);
- Assist with coastal infrastructure projects including feasibility studies, condition assessments, design of coastal structures and dredging studies;
- Assist with key projects to deliver output of a technically high standard;
- Undertake the design of other structural engineering projects when needed;
- Oversee numerical modelling to simulate oceanographic and coastal processes;
- Complete site visits as required.
What you bring:
- An engineer with an interest in maritime structures, ports or coastal engineering;
- An ability to draw on strong engineering foundations to resolve technical challenges;
- A willingness to learn and expand your capabilities across diverse projects as part of our maritime team;
- Strong technical and numerical modelling skills to solve complex problems efficiently and effectively, delivery cost effective, high performance solutions for our clients;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to translate discipline specific engineering concepts into language that can be understood by clients and colleagues;
- Experience with SwanOne, SWAN – GUI, DELFT3D, IH2VOF, XBEACH, or equivalent packages;
- Experience with Strand7 and Spacegass or equivalent packages would be desired.
