Join a well-established and highly regarded advisory and accounting practice with offices in Sydney CBD and Parramatta, recognised for delivering practical business solutions and building long-term client partnerships (this role will be based at the clients Parramatta office)

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Intermediate Accountant to work closely with experienced professionals and gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of SME and entrepreneurial clients across a range of industries.

You’ll be joining a collaborative team that goes beyond compliance work — helping clients navigate business growth, improve performance and make informed commercial decisions.

About the Role

Working within the Business Services team, you will be involved in:

  • Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
  • Business services and tax compliance work for SME clients
  • BAS and GST preparation and review
  • Assisting with client advisory and value-added projects
  • Cloud accounting and digital solutions using Xero and related technologies
  • Liaising directly with clients and building strong professional relationships
  • Supporting senior team members on a variety of accounting and advisory engagements

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • 2+ years’ experience within Australian public practice accounting
  • Relevant Australian accounting degree qualifications
  • Commenced or intending to commence CA studies
  • Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and tax principles
  • Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns for various entity structures
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills
  • Experience with Xero, MYOB and cloud-based accounting systems
  • A proactive attitude with strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Full unrestricted Australian working rights (not suitable for student or working holiday visa holders)
