Residential Automation Technician

Pinstripe Recruitment is proud to partner with a global leader in advanced automation solutions to find a highly capable Resident Automation Technician. Based at a cutting-edge logistics facility in Melbourne, this role is essential to maintaining operational excellence in one of Australia’s most advanced automated sites.

The Role:

As the onsite automation expert, you'll be responsible for:

• Performing corrective maintenance and troubleshooting on state-of-the-art equipment
• Conducting scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure system reliability
• Reporting on system performance, faults, and corrective actions
• Building strong, trust-based relationships with site personnel
• Providing on-the-job training and promoting system improvements
• Managing spare parts and organizing tools and resources on-site

What We’re Looking For:

Technical Skills:

• Qualifications in electromechanics or industrial automation
• Experience in electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces (with training)
• Experience with Siemens, Beckhoff, Rockwell, or Allen Bradley PLCs (advantageous)

Soft Skills:

• Proactive, self-starting approach
• Strong problem-solving under pressure
• Excellent communication and fluent English
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a tech-forward environment

Essential Requirements:

• UEE30820 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician
• A-grade Electrical Licence
• Full Australian working rights
• Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle
