Our client is an established Sydney accounting firm that takes a personal, practical approach to helping individuals and business owners. Its work spans tax compliance, accounting and business advice, giving clients support with both their immediate obligations and longer-term decisions.
This role will suit an experienced public practice manager who enjoys building trusted client relationships and developing the people around them.
The role
You will manage a portfolio of clients and supervise a team of four accountants. Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a key contact for clients and providing practical accounting, tax and business advice.
- Overseeing the preparation and review of financial statements, income tax returns, BAS and other compliance work.
- Advising clients on tax planning, business structures, cash flow, budgets and business performance.
- Planning and allocating work, reviewing quality and keeping client deadlines on track.
- Coaching and mentoring team members, providing technical guidance and constructive feedback.
- Working closely with the firm’s leadership on complex client matters and opportunities to improve client service.
About you
You will be CA or CPA qualified and have similar management experience in another Australian public practice accounting firm. You’ll bring strong business services and tax knowledge, confidence in managing client relationships, and a genuine interest in leading and developing accountants.
