Senior Occupational Therapist | Lead & Build Our Occupational Therapy Program

Lead. Innovate. Make a Lasting Impact.

Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist looking for the opportunity to shape and lead a growing service while continuing to make a real difference in the lives of people with disability?

We're seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to join our expanding multidisciplinary team of Behaviour Support Practitioners and play a pivotal role in developing and leading our Occupational Therapy program.

This is a unique opportunity to combine clinical excellence with leadership, helping establish and grow an innovative OT service within a highly regarded, person-centred organisation.

About the Role

Initially, you'll provide high-quality, community-based Occupational Therapy services, working directly with participants across a diverse caseload while collaborating closely with our Behaviour Support team.

As our Occupational Therapy program grows, you'll have the opportunity to influence service delivery, mentor future team members, contribute to strategic development, and help shape the future direction of our OT services.

We operate on a Monday to Thursday work week, offering genuine work-life balance, and are open to flexible part-time arrangements across these days.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Deliver evidence-based Occupational Therapy services within the community.
  • Conduct comprehensive Functional Capacity Assessments (FCAs).
  • Prepare high-quality reports and recommendations for participants and funding bodies.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve outstanding participant outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with participants, families, support coordinators and key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and growth of our Occupational Therapy service.
  • Provide clinical leadership and support as the OT program expands.

About You

We're looking for someone who brings both clinical expertise and a passion for service development.

You'll have:

  • Current registration as an Occupational Therapist with AHPRA.
  • Extensive Occupational Therapy experience, ideally within the disability sector.
  • Strong knowledge of NDIS practice standards, compliance requirements and clinical governance.
  • Significant experience conducting Functional Capacity Assessments and writing detailed clinical reports.
  • Demonstrated experience working within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Established professional and community networks.
  • A proactive, innovative approach and genuine passion for helping build a growing service.

Why Join Us?

  • Opportunity to lead and shape a new Occupational Therapy program.
  • Monday to Thursday work week for improved work-life balance.
  • Flexible part-time opportunities available.
  • Community-based role with genuine autonomy.
  • Collaborative and supportive multidisciplinary team.
  • Opportunity to influence service delivery and organisational growth.
  • Ongoing professional development and career progression.
  • Work within a values-driven organisation committed to delivering exceptional outcomes for participants.

Ready to Make Your Mark?

If you're an experienced Occupational Therapist looking for more than just another clinical role—and you're excited by the opportunity to build something meaningful while continuing to support participants—we'd love to hear from you.

Apply now and help shape the future of our Occupational Therapy service.
