The Opportunity

As a Senior Accountant, you'll manage your own portfolio of clients while delivering high-quality taxation, compliance and business advisory services.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for a diverse range of clients.
• Preparing Business Activity Statements, Fringe Benefits Tax, Payroll Tax and other statutory compliance obligations.
• Providing practical taxation and compliance advice to clients.
• Managing client relationships and responding to enquiries.
• Managing workflow, work in progress and job completion to ensure exceptional client service.
• Collaborating with the wider team to deliver outstanding outcomes for clients.

The role is primarily based in the firm's Waratah office, with opportunities to work from client premises, the East Maitland office and occasionally from home where appropriate.

About You

To be successful in this role you will ideally possess:

• Approximately 8+ years' experience within an Australian Public Practice accounting firm.
• Strong technical knowledge across taxation, business services and compliance.
• Experience managing your own client portfolio.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• CA or CPA qualification (or working towards) will be highly regarded but is not essential.
