Family Law - Senior Associate Team Leader

This firm is growing fast and now needs to appoint a Senior Associate (family law) - Team Leader, to head up a Melbourne team.

Reporting through to one of the Partners, you will lead from the front and still run your own files while overseeing and motivating your colleagues.

Your role will include:

• Liaising with clients, other lawyers, counsel and colleagues
• Advising and negotiating on complex property & financial settlements, parenting arrangements, financial agreements and child support agreements
• Court attendances and briefing Counsel
• Preparation for and attendances at mediations
• Leading, supporting and developing a team

 What You Need to excel in this role?

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in family law (Family Accreditation is favorably looked upon)
• A thirst for knowledge and a growth mindset
• To be able to manage time and prioritise work tasks effectively
• Be client-focused & competent in providing advice and representation
• Strong attention to detail and be professionally presented
• Ability to lead and motivate a team
• In-depth understanding of Family Law and procedures
