About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to deliver expert technical support through the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of advanced diagnostic and analytical equipment.
In this role, you will ensure instruments perform at optimal levels while supporting customers with reliable technical expertise. You will also provide valuable customer insights to regional service management, helping drive continuous improvement in service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Working closely with Application Specialists, Product Management, and Commercial teams, you will play an important role in ensuring service excellence and alignment with broader business objectives.
You will be joining a high-performing technical team with a strong culture centred around performance, engagement, safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections, troubleshooting, and repair of diagnostic and analytical equipment at customer locations
- Perform preventative maintenance to maximise equipment lifespan and performance
- Liaise with customers to understand technical requirements and provide expert guidance and support
- Accurately document service activities and maintain detailed service records
- Collaborate with the wider technical team to share knowledge and identify opportunities for service improvement
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Diploma or Degree (or equivalent) in Biomedical, Mechatronic, or Electronics Engineering
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in field service support, preferably within medical devices or the IVD sector
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
- A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel as required for customer support
- Unrestricted Australian working rights
- Current Driver’s Licence and passport
