Our client who is a national loss adjusting firm is seeking a Customer Support Officer (Claims) to join their operations – working remotely — helping customers with utility-related claims on behalf of a local utilities’ provider.

 What You’ll Be Doing

  • Be “on call” for a 2-week rostered period, handling inbound customer calls from the Utility Contractors, 24/7 via a dedicated mobile phone when an incident occurs.

·       Work with existing team members who have been managing the account for several years 

  • Work collaboratively with field teams, contractors, restorers, and customers to manage incident response
  • Use your problem-solving skills to triage, facilitate, communicate, escalate, and resolve issues
  • Administer case recording, documentation, follow-ups, and stakeholder updates
  • Travel to sites as required

 ·       Have experience in claims, utilities, insurance, or related fields (preferred)

  • Reside in Melbourne
  • Communicate clearly, empathetically, and confidently (phone & in writing)
  • Can prioritise, manage competing demands, and stay calm under pressure
  • Are solutions-oriented and customer-centric
  • Hold a valid driver’s licence and have access to a vehicle
  • Are immediately available or with minimal notice
