We are growing and are seeking a Public Practice Accountant with a minimum of 3 years’ Australian public practice experience who is technically strong, reliable, and looking for a stable environment with clear expectations and steady progression over time.

We are building depth in our team to support long-term client relationships and internal succession.

We believe growth should be supported, visible and earned — not left to guesswork.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

  • BAS, IAS, FBT and Div 7A preparation
  • Year-end financial statements, working papers and journals
  • Liaising directly with clients and the ATO
  • Supporting reporting, budgets and cashflow analysis
  • Identifying process improvements and contributing to advisory engagements

You’ll work across a broad range of industries, ensuring your work remains varied, technically engaging, and commercially relevant. You’ll also work directly with the Directors and other team members in a structured, well-managed environment.

Who This Role Suits

You will likely thrive here if you:

  • Are comfortable managing compliance work independently
  • Enjoy interacting with clients
  • Take ownership of deadlines and quality
  • Value structure, accountability and steady professional growth

What We’re Looking For

  • Have 3+ years Australian public practice experience (essential)
  • Strong knowledge of Australian tax compliance
  • Experience using Xero (MYOB or QuickBooks advantageous)
  • Degree qualified in Accounting or Commerce
  • Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with clients
  • A proactive mindset and desire to contribute within a team environment
  • Full, unrestricted Australian working rights
