Litigation Solicitor – Run Your Own Matters | 4+ PAE | North Sydney

About the Role:

This position will suit a solicitor with strong litigation capability who enjoys the autonomy of running files from end to end. The role offers exposure to complex matters including commercial litigation, strata/building disputes, estate litigation, and business disputes.

Experience in class actions will be viewed favourably but is not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of litigation files independently—from strategy development through to resolution.
• Draft pleadings, affidavits, settlement agreements and prepare court documentation.
• Represent clients at mediations, directions hearings, and contested proceedings.
• Liaise with external stakeholders including counsel, clients, experts and court staff.
• Advise clients on legal strategy and engage in practical resolution planning.

About the Candidate:

• A minimum of 4 years post-admission experience in litigation.
• Proven ability to manage a caseload autonomously and meet court deadlines.
• Strong technical drafting, negotiation and advocacy skills.
• Confident communicator with a client-centric approach.
• Experience in class action litigation will be highly regarded, but not essential.
