THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking safety and quality- conscious Electrical Site Supervisor to join the team. This is a Monday-Friday role working in Tumut.

Based at the foothills of the Snowy Mountains, PHE’s Tumut operations undertakes small and large scale project work within the iconic Snowy Mountains Hydro Electric Scheme. The role involves the supervision of industrial electrical and instrumentation installations at various power station and infrastructure sites throughout the ‘Snowy’ and broader region on rosters that balance regular overtime and time at home.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead a team to deliver safe, productive and quality electrical and instrumentation installations in industrial settings.
  •  Report project status, including forecast outcomes with relation to time, cost, scope and quality when required.
  • Maintain records of work-in-progress and communications in line with the project management methodology.
  •  Participate in and inform project planning and auditing activities.
  • Oversee PHE apprentices and ensure they are consistently learning and improving their standard of work.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful you will have the following skills and experience: 

  • Experienced leading a team made up of leading hands, electricians, other trades, apprentices and non-trades people on industrial sites.
  • Must be able to lead a team that maintains an excellent attitude to safety through leading by example.
  • The ability to lead a highly productive team to meet project and company objectives.
  • Possess a high level of written and verbal communication skills and the ability to maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Enjoy problem-solving.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office 365 applications including Teams and Excel.
  • Quality Management experience.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Flexible and open to working away from home, as required by the company.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Trade Certification / AQF Cert Level 3 Electro Tech
  • NSW Electrical Licence
  • High risk work licence with WP Class
  • Working at Heights certificate within the past 2 years
  • LVR/CPR certificate within the past 12 months
  • White Construction Card
  • C Class Drivers Licence
  • Hold or be able to obtain a National Police Clearance
