THE OPPORTUNITY
PHE currently has an opportunity for a Storeperson to join our team at remote mine site in Australia on a 2 and 1 roster. Flights, camp accommodation and meals are supplied.
A Storeperson is responsible for the revival, storing and issuing of materials, equipment and other items from stock. Keep records and compile stock reports.
In this role you will:
- Receive and count stock items and record data manually or using a computer
- Verify inventory by comparing them to physical stock counts and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors
- Drive equipment safely to load and unload deliveries of materials
- Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Compile, review and maintain purchase orders, requisitions and other documents
- Confer with supervisors and purchasing personnel in regard to stock procurement and availability
ABOUT YOU:
- Sound interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team environment
- 2 Years’ experience in a similar role
- Sound knowledge of purchasing and procurement requirements
- Analytical skills in problem-solving
- Speak clearly in positive and negative situations
- Able to read and interpret written information
The successful candidate will have:
- General Construction White Card
- Manual C –Class Drivers licence
- Certificate III or higher in Logistics and Warehousing
- Relevant High Risk Work Licence (LF)
- Telehandler gold card
- A minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
