We're looking for an experienced Area Manager who has evolved beyond pure operations into a commercially minded leader, someone who thinks strategically, acts decisively, and delivers results across people, performance, and growth.
This role leads and grows our operations across South Australia, Western Australia, and the Northern Territory. It's not just about delivering projects, it's about building a region, strengthening client relationships, driving revenue, and leading teams to perform at a high level.
Working closely with the executive team, you'll take full ownership of both performance and growth across your region. You'll be trusted to balance delivery, people, safety, and commercial outcomes operating with a high degree of autonomy and accountability.
This is a role for someone who has come up through the tools or site, understands what good looks like on the ground, and now operates at a higher level while influencing outcomes, building pipelines, and leading from the front.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
- Take full ownership of regional performance across operations, people, and commercial outcomes
- Identify and convert new business opportunities to drive sustainable growth
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
- Oversee project delivery to ensure safety, quality, and financial performance
- Lead multiple sites and teams, ensuring consistency in standards and outcomes
- Drive operational efficiency, productivity, and continuous improvement
- Lead safety and compliance, setting the standard across all sites
- Spend time on site to stay connected to delivery and team performance
- Develop capability within your teams, lifting leadership and accountability
- Manage budgets, financial performance, and reporting
- Contribute to tenders, pricing, and strategic planning
ABOUT YOU
You've come from a strong operational background and know what good looks like on site. You've stepped beyond delivery and now think commercially — balancing people, performance, and the bottom line.
You build relationships naturally, take ownership instinctively, and hold yourself and your teams to a high standard. You're comfortable operating with autonomy, making decisions, and leading across multiple sites without needing to be told what to do next.
The successful candidate will have:
- Demonstrated experience in a senior operational leadership role
- A track record of driving business growth, not just delivering projects
- Strong commercial acumen, budgets, margins, and performance reporting
- Experience in mining or industrial project environments
- Proven ability to lead multi-site operations and teams
- Experience building and maintaining client relationships
- The ability to operate at both a strategic and hands-on level
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- Full-time role with hours aligned to business needs
- Regular site presence (minimum 3 days on site every 2 weeks)
- Travel across multiple sites and regions required
