Senior Research Associate

A P&G Senior Research Associate will be responsible for:

• Inspired by hands-on experimentation and basic science, i.e., Procedural work.
• Onboards to P&G systems and performs the basic and critical experimental work of day-to-day applied research.
• Spends the largest percentage of time in the laboratory, developing foundational understanding via execution of basic laboratory skills, well defined tasks and sample analysis via standard methods with input from supervisor.
• Masters basic operation of lab equipment required for the execution of standard methods and has attention to details on the analysis and results with the ability to recognize problems or unusual results with input from coach/manager.
• Identifies better ways to execute tasks to help drive productivity.
• Researcher will safely and independently set up, operate, and maintain processes and equipment in an R&D environment where the primary product is new technical understanding and prototype products
• Individuals will conduct hands-on experiments, develop expertise in processes, work to understand relationships between key input and output variables, and independently run and improve equipment to understand operational limits and develop more robust products and processes.
• This position requires development of both fundamental understanding and pragmatic application of the knowledge.
• Safe and effective operation in a hardworking, collaborative environment is a base requirement, and curiosity and desire for continuous learning are essential.
• Work occurs in a fast-paced R&D environment, so every day is different.

Nice to have:

• Basic Computer Skills under MS Suite.(Word, PPT, Excel)
• Basic Understanding of Statistics and analytics
• Attention to detail to manage multiple projects
• Someone who is able to lift at least 40lbs (not for a full 8 hours but there will be spurts wherein contractor would need to lift the materials.
• Would depend on the need of the test.) would be done individually.)
• Interacting with Product Development Leaders (PR and Process)
• Manage sample prep and execution of FAST Cycle Panels including collecting observational data as needed, data analysis including statistics, summarizing results, and communicating to PR Leaders
• Preparation of prototypes for consumer use test including sampling, pack-out as needed, and creating / modifying Enovia standards as needed
• Managing logistics process required for consumer test placement (retrieving / returning PPW pallets, sending product to test facilities or team members residence, managing approvals in Enovia)
• Attending consumer test placement as needed
• Conducting consumer qualitative interviews as needed
• Assemble data in table forms in excel
• Summarizing results & Communicating results to PR Leader
