Join our Tool and Die Team and embark on a 3-year Traineeship designed to help you grow professionally while contributing to meaningful and creative work. We’re offering an exciting opportunity to kickstart your career in digital engraving and precision tooling!

You will learn to manufacture production tooling (Master tooling and or Production Dies) for the coining of coins, tokens, medallions and collectables by interpreting 2D media and creating 3D digital models.

Skills you will gain after the Successful Traineeship (3 years) :

  • Construct 3D electronic computer models with the use of CarveCo Professional software, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator as per final artwork specifications provided by the marketing design studio.
  • Convert 3D models into C.N.C machining files, once approval has been received.
  • Setup and engrave Master Tooling and direct cut production dies on CNC mechanical engraving machine and Laser engraving machines.
  • Archive and retrieve plaster sculptures, electronic 3D files and production Artwork as and when required.
  • Scan externally produced plasters with a 3D laser scanner and convert into a 3D computer file before importing/merging into an Art Cam electronic model.
  • Inspect all completed master tooling to ensure both aesthetic and technical specifications have been attained to the required standards.
