In this role, you will provide strategic procurement advice to the business and undertake commercial contract development in consultation and negotiation with stakeholders and suppliers. Here, you will actively engage in continuous improvement initiatives and manage a small team of three Procurement Specialists.
Reporting into the General Manager Procurement, this is a permanent full-time opportunity, based in East Perth, with occasional travel to our Refinery.
Your role as a Manager Contracts will involve:
- Undertake procurement and contract development activities, procurement planning, tender documentation and evaluation, negotiations, KPI development, performance review milestones and contract drafting
- Work with the General Manager Procurement to provide day to day management, guidance, coaching, support, and workflow planning for the Procurement team
- Lead and support proactive contract review, renewal, and monitoring. Work closely with the business to understand demands and constraints for current contracts
- Provide specialist advice on complex contract development and management issues
- Support the development of continuous improvement programs both internally and externally as they relate to efficient and effective procurement best practice
- Provides specialist high level advice and support to stakeholders across the business on the Source to Contract system and purchasing governance / compliance matters
- Ensure all records, data and documentation is up to date and accurate
- Ensure that the total cost of ownership concept and approach is embedded across the business’s procurement activities
- Monitors and ensures compliance with government and Corporation policies and procedures and facilitates education and awareness raising where appropriate
- Develops working relationships with key business partners throughout the Corporation and develops alliances between contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders
We are looking for a candidate who brings:
- Demonstrated extensive procurement experience in a highly regulated environment, preferably WA Public Sector
- Previous experience working with procurement and/or ERP systems (desirable)
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (desirable)
