About Us:

Welcome to The Perth Mint, where golden career opportunities await.

The Perth Mint is an iconic Western Australian organisation operating on a truly global scale. Situated in East Perth for over 125 years, The Perth Mint is a premier tourist destination, an award-winning exporter, and a key supplier of precious metals to markets throughout the world. Our purpose is ‘to bring the wonder of precious metals to the world’.

There’s no organisation quite like it, with a variety of roles available, from engineers and chemists to artists and technicians.

The Opportunity:

You’ll be stepping into a 12-month maximum term, full‑time role where you’ll be the go-to person for all things procurement. Starting initially in East Perth to bring you up to speed with our processes and systems, you’ll soon transition to being dedicated at our Refinery site, supporting with major refinery projects and staying closely connected with the teams delivering the work.

No two days will look the same. You might be shaping a tender in the morning, reviewing supplier performance after lunch, and guiding a colleague through our procurement platform before the day is out. You will be partnering with Refinery stakeholders to develop and manage equipment, works, supply and service contracts from end to end - ensuring compliance, value, and smooth delivery.

This isn’t a box ticking role. It’s about building relationships, solving problems, and helping the business make smart, informed decisions. If you enjoy variety, collaboration, and being part of a fast-moving environment, you’ll feel right at home. An ASAP start is ideal.

About You:

You bring a calm, organised approach, and a solid foundation of experience - ideally a few years in procurement or contract management. You’re confident managing timelines, multi-tasking, and managing the occasional curveball. Experience with WA procurement rules or a government trading enterprise is a bonus, not a requirement.

A procurement qualification (or progress toward one) is great to have, but not essential.

Most importantly, you’re someone who shows up with a positive attitude, a willingness to collaborate, and a genuine commitment to helping the business succeed.

If that sounds like you, we’d love to have you on the team.

Our Benefits:

  • Competitive salaries and employee discounts
  • Flexible work options available
  • Opportunity to work for an endorsed WORK180 employer
