About Us:

Welcome to The Perth Mint, where golden career opportunities await.

The Perth Mint is an iconic Western Australian organisation operating on a truly global scale. Situated in East Perth for over 125 years, The Perth Mint is a premier tourist destination, an award-winning exporter, and a key supplier of precious metals to markets throughout the world. Our purpose is ‘to bring the wonder of precious metals to the world’.

There’s no organisation quite like it, with a variety of roles available, from engineers and chemists to artists and technicians.

The Opportunity:

We have a permanent, full-time opportunity available in our East Perth office, ready for someone to step in and make an impact from day one.

In this role, you’ll be the first line of compliance for our customers - guiding them through onboarding, account setup, and ongoing maintenance while making sure everything aligns with AML/CTF requirements. You’ll be working closely with a mix of customers, including complex and high net worth individuals, helping them navigate what can sometimes feel like a detailed and sensitive process.

From KYC checks and due diligence through to ongoing account reviews, you’ll play a key role in protecting both our customers and the business. Just as importantly, you’ll help make compliance feel seamless - balancing regulatory requirements with a positive, professional customer experience.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with detail, understands risk, and takes pride in building trust through every interaction.

About You:

You’re calm and comfortable working in an environment where compliance and customer experience go hand in hand.

You might come from a banking or financial services background, with experience in AML/KYC, onboarding, or customer due diligence. You understand how underlying transactions work, can assess risk, and know when something doesn’t quite look right.

You communicate clearly, ask the right questions, and feel confident working with a range of customers - including more complex structures like trusts or companies. You’re organised, take ownership of your work, and don’t cut corners when it comes to process and compliance.

If you’ve got ACAMS, that’s a bonus - but more importantly, you bring strong judgement, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in financial crime and doing things properly.

You’re also a team player - happy to share knowledge, support others, and contribute to building a strong culture of compliance across the business.

Our Benefits:

  • Competitive salaries and employee discounts
  • Flexible work options available
  • Opportunity to work for an endorsed WORK180 employer
  • Training and development opportunities
  • Opportunities to be part of our wide and active range of Employee Resourcing Groups: Reconciliation, Gender, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD), Disability, Mental Health and Neurodiversity, and Perth Mint with Pride
  • Charity and volunteer initiatives
  • Health and wellness programs, including an Employee Assistance Program, ongoing wellbeing initiatives, and workplace community building spaces
  • Our full list of benefits and why we are recognised as an Endorsed Employer for Women by WORK180 can be seen on the WORK180 website

It’s easy to dismiss the perfect opportunity if you don’t see yourself as the perfect fit. If this role feels right, no matter your background or personal circumstances – please submit your application.
