The Opportunity:

Step into a role that offers more than just stability - it offers prestige, purpose, and the chance to be part of one of Western Australia’s most iconic institutions. At The Perth Mint, based in East Perth, we’re offering a permanent, full‑time position with an immediate start, likely commencing in January 2026.

In a market where WA projects are competing fiercely for skilled trades, this opportunity stands apart. Here, your craftsmanship will keep production moving, your problem solving will support maintenance, and your ideas will help shape new product concepts in the coining market. Some days you’ll be hands on, producing and assembling precision tooling and machinery parts from detailed specifications. Other days you’ll be driving innovation and developing concepts that carry our legacy forward.

This isn’t just work, it’s your opportunity to stand at the crossroads of history and innovation, where every skill you bring shapes something lasting. We don’t just acknowledge your expertise - we showcase it as a cornerstone of what we do.

About You:

You’re someone who takes pride in your craft and thrives on being trusted to deliver. You don’t just follow instructions - you interpret them, refine them, and turn them into solutions that others depend on.

You’ve built your career in mechanical engineering or a similar trade, and you’re confident working with tooling, machining, and assembly. You’ve completed an apprenticeship or traineeship in Tool‑making, Machining, or equivalent, and you bring both skill and care to every project.

You’re steady under pressure, thorough in your approach, and you notice the details that others miss. Safety matters to you, but so does improvement - you’re the kind of person who looks for smarter, clearer ways to get things done.

Most importantly, you want to be part of something special. At The Perth Mint, you’ll find a workplace that values consistency, craftsmanship, and commitment - qualities that make you the right fit for a team that blends history, innovation, and pride in everything we do.
