About Us:

Welcome to The Perth Mint, where golden career opportunities await.

The Perth Mint is an iconic Western Australian organisation operating on a truly global scale. Situated in East Perth for over 125 years, The Perth Mint is a premier tourist destination, an award-winning exporter, and a key supplier of precious metals to markets throughout the world. Our purpose is ‘to bring the wonder of precious metals to the world’.

There’s no organisation quite like it, with a variety of roles available, from engineers and chemists to artists and technicians.

The Opportunity:

This is one of those roles where you can actually make an impact.

We’re looking for someone who can step in quickly, with an ASAP start, in a 12-month max-term role based in our East Perth office.

You’ll take responsibility for a national portfolio across Australia and New Zealand, managing key accounts while also driving growth across the region. It’s a role where you’re trusted to run with it - building relationships, identifying opportunities, and making things happen commercially.

There’s real variety here. You’ll be involved in shaping sales programs and working closely on marketing activity that supports the broader strategy. You’ll also have input into product development, helping take ideas from concept through to market and making sure they land in the right way for clients.

You’ll own the numbers too. Budgets, forecasting, and reporting - so you’ll need to be comfortable knowing where things sit and making decisions that keep performance on track.

It’s a national role, so travel across Australia and New Zealand will be required from time to time. Nothing constant, but you’ll need to be open and willing when it’s needed.

About You:

You’ve done this before.

You know how to manage key accounts without dropping the ball, and you understand that it’s not just about keeping clients happy - it’s about growing the relationship and delivering results.

You’re commercially switched on. Budgets, forecasts, targets - none of that scares you. You know how to keep things on track and make decisions that make sense for the business.

At the same time, you’ve got a bit of creativity about you. You’re not just following a playbook - you’re thinking about how things could be done better, how products or programs could be shaped differently, and how to get better outcomes for your clients.

You’re organised, you follow through, and you don’t need to be micromanaged. If something needs doing, you get on with it.

You’ll have solid experience across sales, business development, or account management, and you’ve probably had some exposure to leading people, projects, or initiatives along the way.

A Commerce degree is nice to have, but honestly, it’s not a dealbreaker. Experience, attitude, and how you show up day to day will matter more here.
