About Us:

Welcome to The Perth Mint, where golden career opportunities await.

The Perth Mint is an iconic Western Australian organisation operating on a truly global scale. Situated in East Perth for over 125 years, The Perth Mint is a premier tourist destination, an award-winning exporter, and a key supplier of precious metals to markets throughout the world. Our purpose is ‘to bring the wonder of precious metals to the world’.

There’s no organisation quite like it, with a variety of roles available, from engineers and chemists to artists and technicians.

The Opportunity:

This is a maximum term role through to April 2027, based in our East Perth office, with an ASAP start.

You’ll play a key role in coordinating, facilitating, and advising on health and safety requirements across the business. It’s a hands-on role engaging with our operational teams, with a focus on administrative duties including toolbox talks, audits, and safety reporting.

You’ll be trusted to keep things moving by ensuring the systems that support safety are working as they should and that safety standards are being consistently applied across site for our workers and contractors.

It’s a role that suits someone who likes structure, clarity, and getting the fundamentals right, while still being part of continuous improvement across our safety culture.

About You:

You bring a steady, calm approach to your work and are comfortable working with multiple stakeholders, including our operational workforce and our customer facing retail and exhibition teams.

You’re objective in how you assess situations and make decisions, and you’re able to work through issues effectively.

You’re organised, reliable, collaborate well with others, and consistent when it comes to follow through - particularly around reporting, documentation, and keeping systems accurate and up to date.

You’ll hold formal qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety and have demonstrated experience in a similar role. Having experience working with contractors across project environments is also desirable, however not essential. What matters most is your ability to engage people, maintain clarity in your work, and apply sound judgement in a safety focused environment.

Our Benefits:

  • Competitive salaries and employee discounts
  • Flexible work options available
  • Opportunity to work for an endorsed WORK180 employer
  • Training and development opportunities
