There’s no organisation quite like it, with a variety of roles available, from engineers and chemists to artists and technicians.

Foster your fascination and pride in our work. Get inspired every day by the world-class precious metal products we work together to refine, design, produce and then distribute all over the globe. Connect to the rich history of our industry in a workplace firmly rooted in the present — as leaders in sustainability and inclusion.

At The Perth Mint, you’ll be supported in a diverse team where differences are celebrated and your well-being matters — striking the right work-life balance with compassionate team benefits. And if your career goals change, you’ll be empowered to change roles with training and internal mobility.

We value inclusion and welcome applicants from all backgrounds, including First Nations people, people with disability, LGBTQI+ communities, culturally diverse groups, youth, and seniors. If you need accommodations, please contact recruitment@perthmint.com.

The Opportunity:

We’re looking for an experienced Business Partner People and Culture to join our team on a 12-month maximum term, full-time role, based in our East Perth office.

This is a hands on, generalist opportunity where you’ll partner closely with leaders and employees across the business, supporting the full employee lifecycle and helping shape a positive, compliant, and high performing workplace. You’ll be trusted to provide practical advice, navigate employee relations matters with confidence, and contribute to meaningful people initiatives that make a real difference.

If you enjoy variety, value strong relationships, and thrive in a role where no two days are the same, this is an opportunity to step into a role with impact, influence, and purpose.

About You:

You’re people focused with solid generalist HR experience and a calm, thoughtful approach to complex situations. You bring sound judgement, strong communication skills, and a genuine desire to support leaders and employees in doing their best work.

You’re comfortable advising on the full People and Culture lifecycle - from attraction and engagement through to performance, remuneration, and employee relations. You know how to balance organisational needs with empathy, fairness, and compliance, and you’re confident interpreting legislation, awards, and policies to guide informed decision making.

You build trust easily, communicate clearly, and take pride in delivering work that’s accurate, and aligned to best practice. Whether coaching managers, drafting employment documentation, managing investigations, or contributing to policy and process improvement, you approach your work with professionalism and care.

You’ve completed a tertiary qualification in HR or a related field, with demonstrated experience in a generalist role. Knowledge of employment legislation, the Fair Work Act 2009, and National Employment Standards is essential, and Korn Ferry Job Evaluation Training is desirable.

If you’re looking for a role where you can partner, influence, and contribute to meaningful people outcomes - we’d love to hear from you.
