ABOUT THE ROLE :
The Perth Mint is seeking a reliable and hands-on General Hand to help maintain the high standards of our facilities and operations.
In this role, you’ll assist with the servicing, maintenance, and general housekeeping of site buildings, grounds, plant, and equipment. You’ll work alongside skilled tradespeople within the Facilities team to ensure the site remains safe, clean, functional, and presentable. From supporting minor repairs and preventative maintenance to help keep our heritage-listed premises in pristine condition, your contribution will be essential to the smooth running of day-to-day operations.
You’ll be expected to follow Gold Corporation procedures and comply with all relevant Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental (OHS&E) legislation.

Your role as a General Hand will involve:
- Perform general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of the facility including but not limited to plumbing and carpentry work.
- Support workplace health and safety by identifying and reporting hazards.
- Respond to and resolve maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Moving of office equipment and furniture.
- Assist with preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime and risks.
- Complete daily routine rounds such as daily scheduled waste disposal
We are looking for someone who has the following:
- Previous experience in a general hand or handyperson role (carpentry and plumbing experience highly regarded)
- Basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and safe work practices
- The ability to work effectively autonomously and in a team environment
- Strong work ethic with excellent time management
- Computer Literacy
- Valid Driver’s License
- Forklift License (Preferred but not essential)
