The Opportunity:
We're looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join our Corporate Governance and Legal team on a permanent full-time basis, based in East Perth, with a mid-November start available.
This is an opportunity for an experienced legal professional who enjoys partnering with the business to solve complex challenges and support strategic outcomes. Working closely with stakeholders across a diverse range of business units, you'll provide commercial legal advice on key projects, transactions, governance matters and day to day operations, helping teams navigate risk while enabling business success.
No two days will be the same. You'll have exposure to a broad range of legal matters, lead negotiations, draft and review commercial agreements, support significant business initiatives, and contribute to matters of strategic importance across the organisation. While you will work autonomously, you'll also be part of a highly experienced, collaborative, and supportive legal team, with guidance from senior leaders.
About You:
You're a qualified lawyer with 6+ years' post-admission experience and hold an unrestricted practising certificate with the Legal Practice Board of Western Australia. This is a role for someone who combines strong technical legal expertise with commercial acumen and a practical approach to problem solving.
You enjoy building trusted relationships with stakeholders and working alongside the business to deliver outcomes. You're adaptable, commercially minded, and comfortable moving between different areas of an organisation, providing clear and pragmatic advice that's tailored to the needs of your audience.
You have well developed communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, and are comfortable instructing and managing external legal counsel to achieve effective and commercially sound outcomes. You're confident managing a varied workload, balancing competing priorities, and taking ownership of complex legal matters from start to finish.
Most importantly, you're someone who enjoys being part of a strong and collegiate team while taking ownership of your work and contributing to meaningful business outcomes.
