Perth Airport is Australia’s Western Hub connecting the people, businesses and communities of Western Australia with the rest of Australia and the world. Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week throughout the year, Perth Airport plays a significant role in providing economic, social and cultural benefits to West Australians.

Perth Airport is investing more than $5 billion in new infrastructure so we can support our airline partners to grow, offering more services to new destinations and an improved customer experience. This will be the largest funded private equity build in Western Australia for the last 30 years.

Over the coming decade we will expand T1 International, and build new domestic terminal facilities, a parallel runway, two multi-storey carparks and our first airport hotel. This will deliver one airport for the people of Western Australia which will host all flight services in a central location giving passengers a seamless, world-class travel experience.

The Perth Airport estate is spread over 2100 hectares and has developed a $1.5 billion portfolio of existing industrial premises and significant vacant land holdings.

We service a truly diverse community and play an important role in strengthening cultural, family and social bonds while supporting business, tourism and leisure travel.

We are on the lookout for a creative and strategic Social Media & Content Lead to drive the development and delivery of engaging, high-quality content across our digital platforms. You'll lead the charge on our social media presence, content strategy and production, and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and agency partners to bring our brand to life online and in our terminals.

What you'll do:

  • Lead and execute Perth Airport’s content strategy across social media, website, and in-terminal digital displays.
  • Manage the content calendar, ensuring alignment with corporate campaigns, seasonal moments, and marketing activity.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, audience-specific content including short-form video, graphics, and written copy.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and agency partners to ensure creative ideas are strategically aligned and executed on time.

  • Manage, in collaboration with the Digital Producer, the content production workflows, digital content libraries, and ensure consistent adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Stay ahead of social media and content trends, algorithm changes and emerging digital opportunities.
  • Support safety and risk management by ensuring content activities align with digital standards and workplace health and safety frameworks.

About you:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications or a related field, with 4+ years' experience in content or social media management.
  • Deep knowledge of social media platforms, trends, algorithms and best practices, with hands-on experience creating content across multiple formats.
  • Skilled in visual storytelling and copywriting, with a knack for writing sharp, engaging captions that resonate.
  • Confident using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and content management systems (Sitecore experience highly regarded).
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to extract insights from data and shape content decisions accordingly.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, with excellent time management and the ability to juggle multiple projects.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused and adaptable, thriving in a fast-paced, evolving digital environment.
  • A collaborative team player who builds strong working relationships and contributes to shared goals.
