What you will do:

If you like the feint smell of jet fuel, the roar of aircraft engines and the constant site of a live airfield as your daily backdrop then this could be the job for you! Forgive us for the cliché but in this role, you are literally responsible for keeping the lights on for Perth's key piece of infrastructure, Perth Airport. This will include the maintenance and installation of electrical works that will keep the runways and taxiways operational.

You will be part of a team that maintain and install the electrical systems at Perth Airport. These include an integrated High voltage network and a sophisticated airfield lighting system. You will also be involved in the delivery and implementation of electrical projects and support other teams to ensure that Perth Airport always remains operational. Your normal hours of work will be Monday to Friday however the business is a 24-hour operation and there is a requirement for attendance when you are rostered on call. There will also be a need for occasional weekend and night work as required.

About you:

You will hold a WA Electrical installers licence and you will have been putting your trade into practice for about 5 years. You have a C class Drivers’ Licence and you're a great team player who enjoys working in a dynamic environment putting your excellent time management skills to the test on a daily basis. Whilst not essential, if you have high voltage experience this will be highly regarded and it goes without saying, your commitment to safety is without fault.

Perth Airport is an Equal Opportunities Employer. We are committed to building an equitable and diverse workforce representative of the community we serve. We encourage and welcome applications from all communities and backgrounds.
