Our team is currently looking for an experienced a Operational Technology Specialist to join our expanding team. In this role you’ll enhance the reliability, security and of Perth Airport’s Operational Technology systems. You’ll bring strong technical expertise across OT/IT environments to ensure critical infrastructure systems remain robust, secure and aligned to our businesses needs.

What you'll do:

  • Assess and improve the reliability and security of current Operational Technology systems.
  • Document the technical configuration of Operational Technology systems and components.
  • Onboard new Operational Technology systems ensuring adherence to PAPL Standards.
  • Perform periodic review of systems components (hardware and software) to ensure currency and supportability.
  • Review of support contracts to ensure ongoing maintenance and Incident Support is in place and contribute to service management meetings with the System Owner. 

About you:

  • Tertiary qualification (or relevant experience) in Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or a related field.
  • Good understanding of enterprise Information Technology and/or Operational Technology concepts and high-level technology architectures.
  • 5+ years’ experience working with Operational Technology systems at a technical level within a related field.
  • Knowledge of cyber security in enterprise organizations and preferably with organizations designated Critical Infrastructure. Strong grasp of IT/OT convergence, including VLANs, firewalls, network segmentation.
  • Good understanding of SCADA systems, PLCs, HMIs, and industrial communication protocols.
  • Experience with any of the following systems is highly regarded: electrical, car park, building management, security, screening, or conveyance systems.
