Our team are currently looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Building Services Coordinator to assist the Building Services Discipline Lead for Perth’s New Terminal.

 

What you'll do:

Assist the Building Services Discipline Lead, who is responsible for overseeing the production of building services designs, logistics engineering, and systems engineering for the New Terminal. Ensuring that project timelines are met and that all designs adhere to Perth Airport's design and technical requirements.

Additionally, you will:

·      Assist with planning and ensuring design reviews are completed on time. Inclusive of stakeholder reviews.

·      Assist with design documentation technical reviews against project requirements.

·      Assist with the review of design documentation the successful incorporation of ESPG initiatives into project definition.

·      Communicate effectively and engage collaboratively with the New Terminal Team to utilise peoples competencies at the right point in time in the development of the New Terminal Project, under the guidance of the Building Services Lead. 

·      Assist with monitoring and reporting on project progress and quality. 

·      Identify and communicate risks to mitigate issues. 

·      Assist with ensuring the development of the design, review and approvals are managed effectively using systems such as Aconex to support the process.

·      Utilise BIM review software such as NAVIS works, REVIT or similar in the review process. 

You will also engage with stakeholders, manage risks, and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and experience in large-scale infrastructure projects are essential.

 

About you:

1.       Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Design, or a closely related field.

2.      At least 4+ years of professional experience in engineering design (building services or applicable systems engineering), with a preference for experience in aviation or large-scale infrastructure projects.

3.      Proven experience in project design development, including wider design team and stakeholder engagement.

4.      Suitable technical knowledge and familiarity to allow for the review of design documentation against project requirements.

5.      Understand technical issues, cost implications and other forms of project risks sufficiently to assist with establishing solutions alongside other technical or project expertise.

6.      Proficient in the use of project information systems in particular Aconex and SharePoint and Microsoft applications – Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, etc.

7.      Working knowledge of Autodesk design suite (Revit and AutoCAD) and is proficient in model viewing software (Autodesk Navisworks) to navigate 3D models for review, coordination and guidance of physical model development. Or willingness to learn new software packages as required.

8.      Excellent organizational and teamworking skills.

9.      Organisational skills: Demonstrates proficiency in coordinating tasks and resources to keep projects on track.

The successful candidate will have experience in building services engineering, with a track record in delivering complex projects. This role demands strong engagement with stakeholders at all levels, both within the organization and externally.
