Our team are currently looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Project Manager for the GTCP team

The Perth Airport is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the Ground Transport Consolidated Project (GTCP) team. In this role, you will help plan, manage, and deliver multiple GTCP projects, ensuring they meet scope, quality, schedule, and budget requirements while upholding Perth Airport’s commitments to Safety, Security, and Environmental standards.

Your ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, coupled with your innovative thinking and relevant experience, will be essential to your success.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Plan the delivery of assigned GTCP projects to meet Perth Airport business needs.
  • Manage the delivery of GTCP projects within the agreed costs, timings, quality and scope and in accordance with the project brief and business requirements.
  • Identify, assess and manage risks associated with projects within responsibility area through application of Perth Airport’s Risk Management Framework
  • Produce key project delivery documentation
  • Facilitate key stakeholder input to projects
  • Build strong business relationships with project owners, designers, contractors and stakeholders, and assist to enhance Perth Airport’s business reputation.
  • Identify required approvals and escalate to the Approvals Manager.
  • Conduct day-to-day procurement activities, including writing scope of works, drafting letters of award, contract preparation, contract management, assessment of claims and invoicing.
  • Participate and lead project meetings and minute as required.
  • Complete and submit scheduled reports and month end activities as required.

About You:

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or 10+ years’ experience in project management in construction, engineering or architecture.
  • Demonstrated experience fully managing complex, staged facilities projects (aviation, health, defence, manufacturing etc.).
  • Strong commercial and contractual acumen, with full project accountability experience.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in project controls, tender compilation and project information systems (Aconex highly regarded).
  • Advanced MS Office capability and experience with MS Project or similar tools.
  • High organisational capability, with the ability to prioritise and deliver under pressure.
