Perth Airport is Australia’s Western Hub connecting the people, businesses and communities of Western Australia with the rest of Australia and the world. Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week throughout the year, Perth Airport plays a significant role in providing economic, social and cultural benefits to West Australians.

Perth Airport is investing more than $5 billion in new infrastructure so we can support our airline partners to grow, offering more services to new destinations and an improved customer experience.

Over the coming decade we will expand T1 International, and build new domestic terminal facilities, a parallel runway, two multi-storey carparks and our first airport hotel. This will deliver one airport for the people of Western Australia which will host all flight services in a central location giving passengers a seamless, world-class travel experience.

The Perth Airport estate is spread over 2100 hectares and has developed a $1.5 billion portfolio of existing industrial premises and significant vacant land holdings.

We service a truly diverse community and play an important role in strengthening cultural, family and social bonds while supporting business, tourism and leisure travel.

About the role

Are you an accomplished leader with a passion for delivering complex, high-value infrastructure projects? This is your opportunity to take on a pivotal role that influences the future of our terminals and drives innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence.

We are seeking a Head of Annual Terminal Capital Projects to provide strategic leadership and oversight across a diverse portfolio of terminal-based capital works. This role is critical in translating organisational strategy into a cohesive capital delivery roadmap and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

As the Head of Annual Terminal Capital Projects, you will:

  • Lead a portfolio of major capital projects valued between $5M and $100M, ensuring alignment with our strategic masterplan and long-term growth objectives.
  • Drive governance and assurance frameworks, embedding robust processes for cost, schedule, scope, quality, and risk management.
  • Champion innovation and sustainability, integrating digital enablement and best practices into project planning and execution.
  • Build and develop high-performing teams, fostering a collaborative, safety-focused, and results-driven culture.
  • Engage and influence stakeholders, from executive leadership to regulators, contractors, and consultants, ensuring alignment and collaboration across all phases of delivery.
  • Resolve complex delivery challenges, including contractor performance issues, disputes, and significant variations, while maintaining strong commercial and contractual oversight.
  • Integrate capital activities with broader organisational functions, including operations, digital, commercial, and sustainability, ensuring seamless delivery and operational readiness.

This is a role for a strategic thinker and hands-on leader who thrives in complexity, drives continuous improvement, and builds strong relationships across all levels.

About You

  • A degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline (postgraduate qualifications highly regarded).
  • 10+ years’ experience delivering complex infrastructure or aviation projects with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proven expertise in project controls, including planning, scheduling, cost management, and risk mitigation.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with a deep understanding of contractual rights and obligations.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor teams and manage diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project information systems (e.g., Aconex, MS Project) and Microsoft applications.
