Senior Investment Risk Manager, Perpetual Investments

At Perpetual we know our people are responsible for our continued success. An investment in the growth of our people is an investment in the future of our business, so you’ll be challenged and supported in this exciting role within the Perpetual Investment Division team based in Sydney. As a key member and leader within the Investment Analytics & Risk team, this role is accountable for leading change and developing best practice approach to Investment Risk within Perpetual.

 What will you be doing?

•  Lead change within Investment Risk function by transforming strategic Investment Risk objectives into tangible outcomes.
• Work stakeholders and service providers to deliver on key projects supporting Investment Risk uplift.
• Driving positive change towards an Investment Risk aware culture.
• Developing and ongoing enhancements to all facets of Investment Risk monitoring and reporting, and development of Investment Risk insights.
• Implementing and maintaining a healthy “challenge and support” model of Investment Risk Management.
• Working with Investment Management teams to deliver strong investment risk culture.  
• Providing lead on security modelling and analytical risk management.

What you will need to succeed:

To be considered for this opportunity, your qualifications, skills and experience could include:

• Undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce, Mathematics or related field
• Post Graduate qualifications (Dip / Master / CFA / FRM etc.) preferred
• At least 8 years’ financial services experiences, with at least 2 years leading or as a senior member of an Investment Risk function that directly interacts with Investment Team
• Experience across multiple asset classes required. Candidates with experience in Equity, Fixed Income and Multi Asset highly desirable
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence key stakeholders, including Investment Teams, Operational teams, and Senior Management
• Change management experience, including initiatives, and working with project teams to deliver key outcomes for Investment Risk teams highly desirable
• Experience coaching / mentoring junior team members
• Appetite to help build and develop in a rapidly growing business.
