About the Role
As our HSE Advisor, you will support the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of our HSE systems. Your mission? Strengthen our proactive safety culture, ensure compliance, and help our teams deliver work safely and professionally.
You’ll have the opportunity to influence site practices, mentor team members, and contribute to the development of safety initiatives across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with project leaders and site teams to achieve strong HSE outcomes and embed Pensar’s values in operations.
- Drive and champion a proactive safety culture that empowers people to manage and reduce risk.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and practical safety guidance to project teams.
- Ensure compliance with AS/NZS ISO 45001:2018 and Federal Safety systems.
- Develop and implement project-specific HSE plans aligned with legislation and risk controls.
- Lead and support incident investigations, ensuring transparent and fair processes.
- Monitor subcontractor HSE performance and ensure alignment with Pensar standards.
About You
You’re a safety professional who is confident on site, builds positive working relationships, and knows how to engage teams in safe work practices. You’re practical, solutions‑focused, and steady under pressure.
You will bring:
- Minimum 5+ years’ HSE experience in utilities, civil, or infrastructure environments.
- Advanced Diploma in Work Health and Safety (or higher qualification).
Desirable qualifications:
- Return to Work Coordinator certification
- First Aid & CPR (RTO issued)
- Construction Induction Card
- Management Systems Auditor qualification
- ICAM (Incident Cause Analysis Method) qualification
- Mental Health First Aid certification
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively across project and operational teams
