Te tĪma | The Team:

The Library Collections & Information Team provide trusted information management and collections services and support to parliamentary staff and Members of Parliament. We are a values-driven team focused on Integrity, Manaakitanga, Accountability, Whanaungatanga, and Empowerment.

Mō te tūnga | About the Role:

As a Senior Information Adviser, you’ll join an innovative team delivering information management to Parliamentary Service and Office of the Clerk corporate staff. You’ll be involved in the transformation to SharePoint Online as our Enterprise Content Management System (ECMS). This will involve business consultation, training on new systems, and developing business processes and tools fit for our new space.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Customer Service: Provide expert advice and support, building our knowledge base, resolving issues, and contributing to our strong reputation.
  • Strategy: Contribute to the development and review of strategies, policies, and standards.
  • Relationship Management: Collaborate with customers and the IM team, building and maintaining a strong, supportive and inclusive team culture.
  • Projects and Development: Lead and contribute to initiatives and business planning.
  • Compliance: Monitor and audit business systems for compliance with standards, policies, and legislative requirements.

Tō kete | What You Will Bring to the Role:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Experience in information management, including working with taxonomies, metadata, and archival standards.
  • A can-do attitude – able to contribute and hit the ground running from day one.
  • Ability to deliver excellent customer service in a dynamic and changing environment
  • Strong relationship management skills across a variety of stakeholders.
  • SharePoint Online experience or familiarity will be a plus.

Please note: This is a fixed-term role until 30/10/2026. The salary range for this position is $95,496 - $105,435 per annum, with the potential for the salary to exceed this range based on skills and experience. Appointments will be made accordingly.
