Mō te tūnga | About the role
As an MP Support Advisor, you’ll be working based in the Tauranga electorate office, part time from 32 hours per week. You’ll provide constituent services for Sam Uffindell MP. This is a wide and varied position supporting the constituents of the electorate. The ability to build strong and trusted relationships is key to being successful in this role.

You’ll need to have strong relationship management along with strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability to work with a diverse range of people and organisations. You’ll work within the MP’s support team based out of the Tauranga office, although at times will be required to work autonomously.

Ngā haepapa | Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with local groups and networks, to understand and respond to their needs
- Receive and investigate constituents’ concerns and issues, meeting with constituents for further information where required
- Advocate for constituents at Ministerial level, with Government agencies, e.g. Work & Income, Immigration NZ, and with other business and community organisations where required
- Administrative duties, working with Microsoft 365, our CRM, and other data bases

The pay band for the role starts at $72,100.00 per annum (pro-rated for part time hours) and appointments will be based on skills and experience. All employees who work for MPs are employed on an ‘events based’ agreement, with your employment linked to your MP. This role is based at the Tauranga Office between from 32 hours per week.
