Mō te tīma | About the Team

The End User Services (EUS) team plays a critical role in ensuring Members of Parliament, their staff, and the wider Parliamentary community have seamless, secure, and modern technology experiences.

As part of the Information Systems and Technology (IST) function, EUS is responsible for the delivery and support of desktop and mobile platforms, user onboarding, automation, and day-to-day technical support. Our team is known for its service-first mindset, technical expertise, and close connection to the unique needs of Parliament. We collaborate on complex challenges, share knowledge and wins, and bring a healthy dose of banter to the office.  We are continuously evolving our services to support a modern, digital Parliament - and that’s where you come in.

Mō te tūnga | About the Role

We’re looking for a technically skilled and service-focused EUS Engineer to join our End User Services team. In this role, you’ll take the lead on enhancing our automation capabilities and supporting the tools that help Parliament work more efficiently.

This position will be the technical focal point within the team for tool and system development that supports automation and and working closely with one of our key stakeholders, the IST Customer Experience Team. This role will be a technical lead for Activate and our automation platforms, driving the development and optimisation of tools that improve user onboarding and streamline key support processes across Parliament.

You’ll be responsible for helping us get the most value from automation by ensuring that the right technical capability is in place to support modern, efficient ways of working. This is a re-established role that reflects our learning: while some of these responsibilities were previously shared across multiple roles across teams, we’ve recognised the clear need for a specialist position for some of these functions within the team with the right skillset.

As part of the EUS Team, you’ll be well aligned with the people and systems you’ll be working to improve. This ensures your work on automation and tool development is technically sound and integrated with the platforms we support.
