About the Role | Mō te tūnga:
As the Security Lead – Project Management & Maintenance within our Security & Enablement team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of New Zealand Parliament. This dynamic role involves:
- Leading and managing security-related projects, from planning through to implementation and review, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Overseeing contracts with security maintenance suppliers and managing budgets effectively.
- Transforming strategic security project plans into operational outcomes.
- Providing expert advice on physical security systems and technology to support the Security Manager – Systems & Enablement.
- Monitoring project progress and taking proactive steps to address any deviations.
Your work will directly contribute to keeping our precincts open, accessible, safe, and secure while maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence.

The starting salary range for this role is $93,167 - $102,863 per annum. Appointments will be based on skills and experience (please note, the full salary range extends beyond this to allow for tenure progression).
