Help shape how Parliament learns and works. 24-month fixed term role in a fun, proactive tech team.
Mō te tīma | About the Team
The IST Customer Experience team is the engine behind how Parliament’s technology services are understood, adopted, and improved. We’re a collaborative group that turns complexity into clarity through training, documentation, process design, and knowledge sharing. We work across IST squads, project teams, and stakeholders to ensure systems are not only delivered but embraced.
We’re also a fun, and friendly team that enjoys a bit of banter, and we value people who bring curiosity, and a sense of humour to their work.
Mō te tūnga | About the Role
We’re looking for a Training & Process Analyst who thrives on making things better, for our customers, our teams, and our systems. This role is central to how IST supports Parliament, and we’re after someone who’s not only technically capable but also proactive, self-driven, and willing to take initiative, and make things better wherever you go.
You’ll take the lead across four core areas that shape how Parliament works with tech:
Training & Documentation
You’ll lead the creation and delivery of training materials for both end users and IST operations staff, covering software, hardware, and business systems. Whether it’s classroom sessions, one-on-one coaching, or online modules, you’ll ensure training is tailored, effective, and up to date. You’ll support onboarding and upskilling initiatives and play a key role in preparing teams for new systems and processes making sure transitions are smooth and user adoption is successful.
Knowledge Management
You’ll be responsible for capturing and maintaining the operational wisdom of IST. From FAQs and troubleshooting guides to process documentation, you’ll ensure our knowledge base and customer portal are clear, current, and accessible. You’ll facilitate knowledge sharing across teams, coordinate with subject matter experts, and champion collaborative tools and practices that support a culture of learning.
Process Analysis & Improvement
You’ll document and refine workflows to ensure they’re efficient, compliant, and aligned with Parliamentary Service policy and Speaker’s Directions. Working with business units, you’ll help implement role-based provisioning processes for IT systems, monitor performance, and recommend improvements that make a real difference to how we work.
Operational Support
You’ll assist team leaders with planning, reporting, and analysis, and contribute to platform and infrastructure projects. You’ll also assess IST projects for transition readiness, providing advice that helps ensure new systems are adopted successfully and sustainably. This role offers plenty of scope to step outside the PD when needed. If something needs doing, you’ll be the kind of person who gets it done.
