As the Member and Support Staff Coordinator you will provide essential administrative support to the Manager and wider team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

As the Member and Support Staff Coordinator you will provide essential administrative support to the Manager and wider team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Acting as a key contact for members and their staff, you’ll manage queries and offer back-up support, gaining broad exposure across Parliamentary Service and our stakeholders.

  • Provide high-quality administrative support to the Member and Support Staff team,
  • Support the team to deliver exceptional services to members and their staff across all work streams.
  • Prepare regular and ad hoc reports using key systems and Microsoft Office, and update team intranet pages.
  • Deliver exceptional, customer-focused service by managing requests professionally and investigating issues to identify solutions.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively within the team to foster a positive culture aligned with Parliamentary Service values.
  • Contribute ideas for continuous improvement of administrative processes and customer experience, demonstrating flexibility and creativity.

The starting base salary for this role is $63,140 per annum (remuneration band extends beyond the appointing salary to account for tenure progression).

In 2023, Parliamentary Service refreshed the Member and Support Staff team’s operating model. A 2024 post-implementation review confirmed its success and highlighted improvements to better support members, staff, and Party-Political Offices. Guided by this and key reports, we’re enhancing team cohesion, culture, and communication to deliver outstanding service and introduce new initiatives based on valuable feedback.
