The Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Yoga Therapist / Pilates Instructor to deliver trauma-informed movement sessions that support our clients' physical, emotional, and psychological wellbeing. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, this role is ideal for someone who is passionate about guiding clients through gentle, healing movement practices tailored to individuals recovering from addiction, mental health conditions, or trauma.

The successful candidate will be required to hold the following qualifications and/or certifications:

  • Relevant qualification/certification in Yoga or Pilates instruction
  • Experience in trauma-informed movement practices
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Police Check (or willingness to obtain)

The Day-to-Day

As a Yoga Therapist / Pilates Instructor, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering group and/or one-on-one movement sessions tailored to varying client needs
  • Adapting practices to suit physical limitations, trauma backgrounds, and mental health presentations
  • Promoting body awareness, mindfulness, and emotional regulation through movement
  • Collaborating with the clinical and program teams to align movement sessions with therapeutic goals
  • Maintaining client safety and comfort during sessions
  • Documenting sessions and communicating relevant observations to the clinical team
  • Contributing to a calm, respectful, and supportive environment
  • Participating in team meetings and training opportunities as required
